ISA Softball

Oxley College has a strong tradition of producing skilled softball players who enjoy the camaraderie engendered by the 5.30am bus trip departures when we have to play Central Coast Grammar School. Although we are only a small school we have, for many years, managed to field two junior teams and at least one senior team all of which have achieved considerable success. Last season all three teams reached the finals of the ISA competition and Oxley won the Softball Shield as the most successful school in the competition.

The softball coaches, Mr Woffenden, Ms McComb and Mrs Watson all have years of experience in the sport and enjoy the opportunity to pass on their knowledge to the students.

At the end of the season the teams finished as follows:

  • Oxley Firsts  -  runners up to Barker College
  • Junior A's     -  continued their three year unbeaten winning streak by finishing
                          the season as ISA champions
  • Junior B's     -  semi-finalists place

Oxley College was awarded the Championship Shield for the most successful softball school in the competition.
